Shortly before leaving for Otakon Momo passed away. He was the last of the three "Lost Boys" and the last remaining rat period. And, of course, he was always the sweetest. In his old age he had suffered some paralysis, but could still get around well enough to food, water, and a comfortable place to sleep. So we kind of let him be and made him as

Sorry about your rat. I know that even if they're with you for a short while they're still like family when they go. It's the same reason why I didn't get a new Beta fish after mine died. I loved that fish but I just felt like it wasn't the right time to get a new one. Maybe some day in the future that will change.

Thanks. For some reason a shorter life span never seems to take the sting out of it even though you'd think it would.

I'm very sorry to hear about Momo. *hugs* I remember reading and seeing pictures of the "Lost Boys" over the years. I feel the same way about not getting another cat after Boots passed, and decided not to have another for years from now.

Thanks. Yeah, it can be very hard to get another pet (any pet) after one passes. I understand where you're coming from.
