It's me, Axl! Again!

It's been a couple of months and Axl is several inches longer, wartier, and his spots are coming in. He's also much, much fatter. So much so that I'm beginning to wonder if "he" isn't a "she." Of course, it's still way too early to tell for sure but he's pretty round for a male regardless.

Anyway, photos.

Okay, a terrible touch-up job but I included it mostly to show how "female-ish" he looks. It takes about a year to know for sure, and there have been owners who have said even *then* they've ended up with surprises.

That reminds me of the cat we had when I was little. Dad didn't want to get Mouser fixed because he wanted kittens. Then one day our neighbor came to our house saying our cat got his pregnant because the kittens looked exactly like Mouser. Dad said "My cat's a girl" and the neighbor went away. Shortly after that Dad brought Mouser in to get spayed since the cat wasn't getting pregnant. The vet took one look at Mouser before looking at my Dad and asking, "You mean neutered right?"

He never did tell the neighbor our cat was apparently a boy.

We just had s similar situation with Onyx. We almost give Onyx to an old couple that lost their cat due to old age. However, they wanted a male black cat, and we all thought Onyx was female. Fast forward a few months to the vet, and the veterinarian said, "You mean 'he', right?". I took a second look and said, "When did you grow a pair!?" XD *at 12 months...snip* Not anymore...
