Concert tonight was horrible. I played better with the Freshmen (on songs I have never played)than I did with the songs I've been rehearsing. Also some of the soloists were off frequently. Midnight Sleighride was probably the worst I have played it since break. I finally had it during break, but that was just dreadful. I definitely will need ( Read more... )

What are you talking about? You did a great job! I know, I heard it!

By the way, Tim wants to know if you're up for taking lessons every week (DO IT!!!).

That reminds me of the episode of Family Guy where Meg gets a makeover and Peter tries to tell her she was beautiful the way she was. It went a little something like this: Peter: You know Meg, I always thought you were beautiful just the way you (bursts into laughter) I couldn't say that with a straight face.
And about lessons, would every other week work? Neither I nor the rents want to pay $15 a week, it may be worth it, however, I need a job.
P.S. WHO DEY!

Do you realize that you said "While Mr.Tumbleson was conDUSTING" Sorry, I thought that was quite humorous.

Don't leave. I know people don't take it seriously, heck I probably don't take it as serious as you do. Just look at the way as I do and many say I've improved so much. If you take it to the point where you become strict and try really hard, which is always good then you'l never have fun with it. I take it serious and try to play my best, but I still goof off in that class 'cause I want to have fun. Otherwise you might end up trying WAY too hard and make mistakes because you'll know their coming and be too caught up into it. I hope that makes sense. Just relax, have fun, and screw everyone else in that class.

By "leave" I mean, advance up to Wind Ensemble. Possible: yes. Probable: no. I know what you mean, I like goofing off too, but when it comes down to it, I'd rather have one OUTSTANDING performance, and the lack of focus and seriousness practically makes it impossible. Just this year alone I have learned so much just by listening to Bender. I used to be terrible at all the crazy key signatures and what not, but now it all clicks. What do you know? Mrs. Bender actually does know what she's talking about.

P.S. I don't know how to make those fancy hearts.

Hey sweetie I just wanted to say you played wonderfully tonight. I am honestly very proud of my little sissy. Also sweetie, I ask that you pray for Josh and Eddie, as they are fighting in Iraq right now. You can see my most recent post for details. Thank you and I love you. ♥

Im sure you were awsome. we're always to hard on ourselves (in terms of talent and perfomances) And you shouldn't let the unenthused people in your class ruin the music expierence for you. If you love it, put your heart into it, and you'll get a much more memorable expierence out of it!
