There seems to be so much negative energy going around that if I could give a couple of fingers to make things better, I would. Perhaps everyone could donate their pinkie for the cause. Or perhaps they could do the much simpler task of calming down and thinking about what's really important.

Yes, I'm perfectly fine, personally, though I can't help worrying about others. Feels like there's a very oppressive gloom, you know? Though it doesn't seem to have dampered your spirits. How's Ernie?

I just try to keep busy and ignore the more negative stuff. And if I see other people who are affected, then I try and find something for them to do.

Ernie seems a little preoccupied, now that you mention it. Why? Did something specific happen?
