Verdict:
it was delicious. Nothing (so far) that tipped it over into "omgsogooood", but it made my house smell wonderful (which I always take as a plus) and it was tasty to eat.
Alongside the orachiette (which, BTW
tavella and
zdashamber, means 'little ears'), I served it with 'cheese toasts', which was included with the recipe in the cookbook: preheat oven to 400
