My trachea is bruised.*

First things first: I never broke up with my old dentist, so I have to go to my cleaning with her tomorrow. I'm going to be straight up with her and tell her I went to a different dentist for a second opinion. I'm still not sure if I'm ready to make the shift to him, though. It's not like my tooth is feeling any better after visiting him, so I'm ( Read more... )

Ow! That can't feel good. And I, too, will keep my fingers crossed that your trachea doesn't collapse in your sleep.

And good for you for continuing the couch to 5k! Do you have a specific race in mind?

I think it was your finger-crossing that kept it from happening :) I'm still very sore today, but I seem to be ok. I'm from sturdy stock!

The first race I'll be attempting is the National Race for the Cure. The whole reason I'm doing Couch-to-5k is because a friends of mine do this race every year and asked me if I wanted to join them. There are SO many people in this race that it'll be more like a walk/slog, but if I can run part of it, I'll feel pretty good!

And, I just might take a trip down to Knoxville to run in this one with k-t-bug! I'm hoping to roll it into visiting family, but I have to see how the vacation schedule for work is looking. Holiday weeks are usually full before I realize it.

The throat injury sounds horrible! That's why I never (voluntarily, anyhoo) participated in team sports. I AM a wuss, skeert of getting kicked in the shins or some such. I'd be like, "Help yourself to the ball! Just don't hurt me!"

I really hope you're able to resolve your dental problem, too. It is ridiculous in this day and age that anyone should have to walk around with a chronic toothache.

Hee! You're such a gentle soul :) I'd be the one ripping it from your hands!

Well, the option presented to me today was that we could take out the composite filling(again) and replace it with silver. My dentist admitted that's something she actually had to have done with one of her fillings, too, so I'm definitely not alone. We'll see! I'm trying some sensitive toothpaste to see if that helps.

Whoa! Hopefully you're feeling better by now. For sure go to the doctor if you feel like you would advise someone else to. Take it easy, for sure. Well, besides running. Go you! for running.
