even worse than the dreadful spelling is the silly (and pernicious) notion that someone has to be "just like me" in order to be relevant to my life.
Sure, it is natural to gravitate toward people with whom we have something in common. But if we are all just the same, where is the room to learn from a person who is different? where is the humility to realize that "my way" may not always be best? where is the beauty of diversity?
I'm so thankful for all the people in my life who aren't just like me. and for those who can spell :P
