Why do tastes change, generationally or individually? For example, why did anyone think that 80's hair looked good? Why did the same people who once thought it looked good now think it looks funny? Why, at some point in history (i.e. the 80s), did no one think it looked weird? Maybe I'm oversimplifying things a bit, or maybe I'm not explaining ( Read more... )

How funny. Over the weekend James and I watched Terminator 2 (I skipped Terminator 1, although I feel like I should have seen it).

Did you catch that in T2, Dyson's wife was named Tarissa? If you would have watched it with the subtitles, you totally would have seen that!

Damn. I was like "why didn't I catch that? I always watch movies with subtitles." Then I remembered -- Netflix instant play doesn't have subtitles. :-(

That's pretty bad-ass. You should see Terminator 1, because (a) 80s hair, and (b) you can see recorded full frontal nudity of a politician, and there's no scandal behind it.
