Oddness at work
I solved a really odd problem at work today. For those that don't know, I repair laptops, and I had a board in front of me today with a truly subtle keyboard fault. New computery bits
Got the new computer over the christmas break, but it only had 258mb RAM - not really enough, especially as the on-board video card steals 64mb of it. So I went out today and bought 1gb PC3200 DDR RAM with my overtime money, and have just put it in. Windows loaded quicker :) I'm also now able to set the video card to use 128mb of it, so hopefully ( Read more... ) -

Cat update
There is a photo of my poorly cat here.Note the bandages that say "Ouch" on them. Who'd have thought vet supply companies would have a sense of humour? She has now had the back bandage taken off, but will have the front one (covering the broken leg) on for another week or so. She is very hoppy, but seems to get around ok. Poor Smog
One of my cats, Morgana, was hit by a car on Monday night. She's going to be ok, although we had a bit of a scare on the Tuesday morning. She'd managed to drag herself back from the road (across at least one fence), and through the catflap to be sat in the kitchen when I came downstairs.
