Saturday I'll be heading out to the Texas Professional Photographer's Association's Regional Competition & Convention. I'll watch judging, view the prints, and even get to see the trade show on Sunday. I got a free pass to the trade show through a good friend of mine, who happens to be the President of the Texas Professional Photographer's ( Read more... )

Well, we could try paiper mache'. That's about the only thing I could think of to make it out of. Some heavy gauge wire to frame it and chicken wire or window screen wire to surface it. Maybe a light coat of plaster on the surface if you want to try and get a good smooth texture.

I was thinking that was probably the way we needed to go. The only problem is that this thing has to be large enough and sturdy enough for someone to actually sit in.

Not to mention, it has to be SAFE. Otherwise, I can't put a model in it. See if you can draw up some ideas and such and I'll start seeing about what sort of supplies we'll need, and how much it'll cost.

It depends what kind of egg are we talking, I'm assuming you want it open, but how do you want it open? Cracked along the middle? Or are you thinking more of a portion of the top removed?

I was thinking more of the top removed type of egg. Broken open, so it can be laid on it's side, or set upright.

You already know I'll help you out if you need me. After all, I agreed to this months ago, but we just never set anything up.

Forgot to mention this...

The only time I am generally available are Friday nights and pretty much any time after 12:00 pm on Saturdays. With school and work it makes it next to impossible for me to do anything during the week...

Alrightie. Do you have an American flag on hand that you can wrap yourself in? I know exactly where to take the photos and in what sort of light. But I need a flag still.

Also, Saturdays after 2pm at great for me. If that's fine for you, I'd like to know.

I don't have a flag on hand however I can probably find one without a problem. I'll start looking for one tonight.

That's fine with me. You have my number so you can give me a call whenever you see fit. If I don't answer just leave me a voice mail and I'll get back to you.

Give me a call as soon as you get down here, or feel free to IM me. If you IM me, we can talk further about what type of shoot I'd like to do.

Still game, just give me a tiny bit of advance warning next time rather than, "Oh, you're here, I want to take some pictures..."

Oh, and if you're going to this thing Saturday, how late is it going on? This is the first Saturday I'll be getting out of lab early.

It goes until 6pm. I should be home about 7ish. If you'd like to shoot for being over at 7:30 that would be awesome. Sorry this popped up so suddenly I visited Sharon and she was like "YOU ARE COMING RIGHT?" and I'm like "OHSHIT". I had completely forgotten.

Hahaha sorry about taking pictures randomly. I wouldn't be taking photos of you this Saturday. I'd like to do some photos possibly before the month is up. With you getting out of lab earlier it would be EXCELLENT if we could get shots before the sun is down (with spring about, it might be possible!)
