The Hunter part of "SunHunter" is a little bit of a fangeek/nerd.

Okay, A LOT of a fangeek/nerd.

Canon gave us X-Files posters on his walls by his computer. He ran a website at mechatopia.com for a few years, which collected and discussed evidence of the presence of giant alien robots on Earth (described therein as "extra-vehicular activity"). ( Read more... )

I don't know about Hunter, but I'm pretty sure that Sunstreaker knows who Dead End is. Dead End knows a Sunstreaker quite well--he shot him and Sideswipe off the road at least once. That version wasn't a Headmaster though.

Oh yes. Oh god yes. And what'll make this messy is that gestalt technology was only recently utilized in their universe (realization dawning in the worst way, of course, when Devastator made his first appearance). I can't recall seeing Dead End in the IDW comics, but I'm sure he was around. Hell, the Predacons were there at one point. Sunstreaker should manage recognition...and it won't make him happy. D:

Dead End was in Megatron Origins, at the "Decepticon try-outs". He was unnaturally optimistic about him and Wildrider getting in.

Lara and Samus are fair game...considering their appeal to men.

Cassie from Hack/Slash was made in 2004, but it's a bit more underground.

Jericho is of Teen Titans, which was originally in the 80s, so go for it?

Basically, all are good for fourth-wall yummies.

Lordy. Samus and Lara. I think there's going to be some unintentional staring. LOL. Sunstreaker is going to get real fed up with that, real fast.

Teen Titans, I think, is at least going on the "general recognition" list. As I said to Squee, I'm not sure the animated show is one he would have watched consistently (and hell, -I- need to finish watching it), but you don't always have to see a show, play a game or watch a movie to recognize characters from them. I could see him making a comment about how it wasn't like the comics and then dropping the subject just after, not wanting to sound like an idiot. XD;

Demyx is probably the only one he would recognize from my batch.

Right. And the number of Organization guys running around is probably going to startle him a bit. XD; (Must not have him make internet fandom comments. Must not have him make internet fandom comments. Must not--)

Since the rest of the Organization is going to be known, Axel is very obviously gonna be recognizable.

Larry is fair game, as well as Squall. Feel free to accidentally call him Leon (his KH incarnation).

Kind of prefer him not to mention Pyramid Head.

Hunter may be in awe of Squall...which may or may not confuse and or annoy the poor SeeD? FFFFF.

I don't really see Hunter as the horror movie/game type, though, so probably safe to assume he's not really all that familiar with the various SH games. He'll still scream and run from PH like any sane person should, though. LOL

Fffff he'll probably just. Sigh and assume it's someone else who thinks he's Garden's Commander. Though considering the shitty update I just gave him and his general distrust of people, he might actually get really defensive or angry (omg wtf emotion?) if he's recognized.

It would be interesting if Hunter eventually told him that he uh, didn't finish his update. That he was saved from Time Compression and all. (Though there's every chance that would just piss him off more, IDK.) THERE COULD BE PLOTTINGS THERE.

Hurm... Kamen Rider Hibiki was the 2005-2006 KR series.

So he could've stumbled on it if he felt geeky enough.

Hmm. May or may not let that one slide under his radar. Although... When it gets up the point where Zanki is finally able to transform, he might be able to place some sort of genre recognition.
