Latest stats in from the programming language popularity contests
SQL leading the pack is a bit misleading because it is often mentioned as a secondary skill relative to jobs in one of the other languages. It also includes DBA jobs, which are a category unto themselves.
Note that demand for .net and C# is plummeting -- dropping ~10% in one year.
