Going Crazy

We still have no internet at home. It's been over a month now, I think. I was using my phone to stay in touch with the world, but (I think I mentioned this), it got broken a week or two ago. So I activated my old Samsung - annoying keyboard and a completely worthless web browser, but it was something. On Friday, it died. The screen just suddenly started flashing from a blank black screen to nothing and back again. So mfrazercani's girlfriend gave me an old LG of hers to activate. Unfortunately, it's old enough that the battery only lasts about 5 minutes at a time. And the cord is wonky and has to be held at a very particular angle or it won't charge. So I can't even keep it plugged in while I use it. And if that weren't bad enough, the browser's just as bad as my Samsung's, and the keyboard's even worse. So I think I'm going to have to activate my old old phone, a Motorola flip phone that's about 8 years old, doesn't have any kind of web functionality or a keyboard. And I've lost all my contacts now, so I don't have anyone's info. On top of this, mfrazercani is working again - yay, except that means he has to take the car all day, every day.

So stuck at home. I can't email, I can't call anyone, I can barely text, I can't get to LJ, and I can't go anywhere (this town isn't small enough area-wise that anything's in walking distance). I'm going completely stir crazy. Job hunting is impossible, and I don't have any projects right now that would keep me busy. None that I want to do, anyway.

You know, 15 years ago this was a completely normal way to live. Why is it so bloody difficult now?

just life, call the whaaaambulance
