Tension of Opposites

Life is a series of pulls back and forth. You want to do one thing, but you are bound to do something else. Something hurts you, yet you know it shouldn't. You take certain things for granted, even when you know you should never take anything for granted. A tension of opposites, is like a pull on a rubber band. EVERYTHING is perspective... cleverbitch November 16 2004, 22:19:57 UTC
In the end that's what it all boils down to..how YOU see things. What you see through your own eyes about YOUR life, is NOT the same as what I see through MY eyes about YOUR life, and vice versa.

some may see where we are right now as success..put it this way, reaching 23 years old without a child out of wedlock; I'd say that's pretty successful given the statistics in today's society. It may not seem that big of a deal to us, but ask the 24 year old who has a 7 year old child, and is dying to travel, or go to school, etc. but given their present situation is unable to.

As humans, no matter how much we have, we will ALWAYS want more than what we already have.. Even THE DONALD thinks he can be richer, or more successful, or have a hotter wife.. etc.

Success isn't THE finish line, it's the TRACK we keep running on.

There was a girl from high school who was the first to graduate in her family EVER! Her mother, her mother's mother ... all drop-outs. She's a success. But she wasn't dealt the same cards that I was. To me, graduating high school is as easy as aging. I have the means to aim higher, to do better and not doing so is an insult.

What I have accomplished is an insult to what I CAN accomplish - to what I HAVE accomplished. I know it's all perspective. I can't be up all the time. It's just so hard to be comfortable when you're low. But that's a good thing. It keeps you from settling.

Holy fuck, I'm glad I'm not a 23 year old mother though. I need to work on what will make me happy. Things can be better, but things can be worse. WhereI am is not bad.

So where are you on a scale of 1 to 10?
