I worked out the pattern on paper a few days ago. So last night i started to knit it... to help work out any kinks in the actual pattern. (and there are a few.) but here's what i have so far. what do you think?

Well as soon as i posted the argyle scarf it was sold. crazy. so even though i complained a lot about it while making it i've decided to attempt another double knit scarf. I keep putting off that argyle scarf that i've been working on and it's time to get focused. to be fair though, it does take over an hour to work a section of the pattern. I worked on it today and got 2 more sections done and that leaves 8 sections to go. 8 seems very doable and now i'm determined to finish it this week.

I feel like i'm knitting my way through the stitch'n bitch books. it's kinda cool. there are a few projects that i've repeated but not too many. the animal eared hats are always popular so i did another one of those with bear ears. I just posted it on my etsy page today. I've made more than a few of those over time. I think my next project will be ( Read more... )

I'm so excited. I picked up my sewing machine today. it's been at the park forever. this opens a whole new world of projects for me. i felt inspired to buy new fabric... that's probably going to turn into a victorian jacket of sorts for myself... but i do want to make some more st patty's day purses. i made some for my sisters last year ( Read more... )

Woohoo! First sale. now it should be easier to sell things, right? okay maybe not but at least i have more confidence on what i'm doing. it's all shipped and on its way to the happy buyer. well, it all seems pretty easy to do and kinda fun. here's hoping i have a few more sales soon!

made a hat and a scarf this week and am now working on a pair of mits. they are purple and plushy. and surprisingly not that hard to make. although i just got to a part in the pattern where i'm not really sure what it means. sm... does that mean to slip the marker? that's what i'm taking it to mean. here's hoping.
