First of all, I like the girl power conversation. It's a nifty way to talk about appearances without dragging in the narrator. You've told us alot about Rose in such a short space - she open and exuberant and a bit boy crazy. I like her ( ... )

Suddenly I feel like Seamus is the sandy-haired Pierce Brosnan. He can tango? Who knew? Boy did his stock ever go up in my book.

Hi! This was an enjoyable story, Thalia. I liked your first line, it caught my attention, and in a way, gave me a chance to blink too as I stepped into the ballroom with Ellie. I thought the idea of a Ministry Masquerade was clever. (I did notice St. Margaret's note above, but it worked for me!) I thought the dance scene provided some wonderful subtle touches and feelings. The whole paragraph starting with "Relax" was my favorite. Gentle nudging of knees is such a nice way to provide some temperature, but it's very innocent too. I was a bit surprised at Seamus's boldness when he touched her jaw at the end- that came a bit fast for me. Thanks for posting! - Zia

Dude, who knew Seamus was such a S-T-U-D? ;) I like this new side of him... ::plots::

First of all, the idea of a Ministry Masquerade is just too cool. And you've very successfully whittled these characters'... um, characters. Ooh, and I love the tango -- ehehe! Very steamy, but subtly so. So props! I do agree with stmargarets, though -- go ahead and milk that tension a bit more. Tension is just too much fun to let it go that easily. ;)

Oh, I forgot to say about LJ cuts in my last comment, so I'll just do it here: at the beginning you put "( Ministry Masquerade )
