On Anonymous Hate Memes
The newest irritation? How some people in a fit of etymological spasticity have bastardized the suffix of "anonymous," calling anyone who posts that way a "mouse." Um, hello. If you're posting anonymous vitriol, you're not a mouse--you're a pussy. The attempt to cutify the emotionally-retarded is like PC-ness on ( Read more... )

Thumbs-down to anonymous hate memes! Thumbs up to man-angst and porn! You always know how to stick it to them, Tham. :D

There's nothing better than man-angst and porn, is there, babe? I mean, it's the stuff of dreams and orgasms.

Really, anon hate memes tend to make me laugh, because how can I possibly be offended by the words of someone who's so cowardly that they can't even sign their own name?

I was, however, very happy to see your name pop up on my f-list. I hope you're doing well, doll.

Anon hate memes are so undeniably ridiculous that I'm always a little flabbergasted when they crop up. Their supporters always claim "catharsis," and I just want to say, "'fer Chrissake, go masturbate if you want some relief."

And smooches to you, hon--it's always a pleasure in turn to see your name on my f-list or in my journal.

Um, so I'm gathering that some kerfuffle went down while I've taken a little vacation from LJ?

Hm, I need a rodent icon.

Hee! I was tempted to add to my above rant that fact that the etymologically screwy hate-mongers were tainting my beloved "murine," but decided that might look a little too mental.

There were various fannish hate memes in circulation, though I gather most if not all have been shut down, suspended, what-have-you. Personally, I'm always amazed that they don't spontaneously implode: surely that much stupidity operating at one go can't sustain itself...

Mouse! Ha. They should totally be calling them murines. Doesn't anybody have a decent vocabulary any more?

Hee! I wouldn't want to see such a desecration of the word "murine"! *wanders off to secretly stroke it*
