yesterday was an awesome day - I got a lot of things I've been needing to do checked off on my to do list, I finally got some things completed for my thesis, and I made a new friend.

pictures of the babies in my family
supportive professors
good discussions
communication that makes the hard parts less hard

having had a weekend with good people and baby time
finally figuring out how to get some writing done
setting up times to get to know new people
being internally reworded for pushing myself to get things done

1) serundipidusly running into the people that helped me get to where I was going
2) good music and good company
3) bright eye'd small children

So today's happy thoughts are:

just feeling happy all day
that hardly strictly is just days away (it's a free bluegrass festival in SF and I'm so excited. http://www.strictlybluegrass.com )
finishing my first thesis interview

So, my resolution of the month has been to start finding the happy parts of life, so...

Happy Thoughts of the day:

I spent some of my Christmas iTunes gift certificate on the sound track to avenue Q. Sillyness and happy memories all in one.

Also, I achieved productive today. Go team me.

After 50 or so hours in Milwaukee, (where I actually learned to spell the name) I am finally home.

So, I got my essay on cultural competency back from my professor. I'd gotten a point off for spelling and grammar. It's not that big and normally I would have just shrugged it off.
