Whoo-hoo indeed! I'll let you know what the plan is for moving...and about your house warming party as well (i don't think we have plans, but i need to check in with Italy). And of course we are leaving it that color! *smile* I LOVE IT!
At first glance, I appear to be available to help you two move but, of course, I'm sure, per usual, I'll be out of state. Congrats on the MAJOR(ly awesome) step to adulthood! And, just so you are certain that fate has had a hand in this, I have to mention that The Virgin Mary and I checked out this place a year ago when we were thinking of moving out of our hell-hole. And we were sold on this place save for one detail: it was better suited for a couple. I think it's perfect for you two and I can't wait for the "Condo-warming" party! =)
so it WAS a rental property at one point...we wondered. i don't know what to do, Seth...it's an old house...what if we end up sinking tons of $$ into this place and can't resell it at a good price?? what if the roof falls in? what if the ceiling falls in (you know i'm paranoid about that ever since Twombly's)? what if? what if? what if?
This is what I know about the place: this guy Stew bought the house and fixed it up. He's the same guy that has purchased tons of homes around the North End and fixed them up and rented them at reasonable prices. I think Seven Days did a story on him. Anyway, he has put in all kinds of new stuff to make these houses "like new." Brother-in-Law #1 is a building inspector for the city and he says Stew's places are his favorite to inspect because there is never anything wrong with them
