"Up" was good.

Today I was winding up the bag the frozen eggrolls came in to tie it up and I happened to read on the box: "Wrapper made with whole grain!"

Really? it's so transparent! :P

Heard on the news yesterday that there's been a run on iodine pills *locally*. Now, I think it's a good idea to keep track of radiation levels over here (apparently there's been a slight increase on the west coast), but buying up all the potassium iodide on the east cost, that seems a bit much.

Unless, of course, you're sending it to Japan.

Been a while. I haven't been working on these much lately, been sketching mostly, trying to not be so picky about how things look and just have fun. But, here's more progress on the cutlass:

There's a good chance nobody who reads this will care, but this, specifically this is what my ray-tracing needed. I'd struggled with how to make a triangle (or cone) tangent to a circle (or sphere) a specific size and distance away from the point. Stumbled upon this studying up on math, feeling like I didn't need to be doing art today :>

Happy new year, everybody.

I'm now recovering, fever broke shortly after I posted last, after I went to bed. Got up with a headache (and other aches) which are gone. Mostly, I have to just recover from all that.

It seems I came home pretty much just in time to catch a cold (OTOH, the one I missed by being here now sounds even worse, at least I haven't thrown up). But, I'm achy, exhausted and have a fever (It seems SO cold in here!)

At least my throat isn't terrible sore anymore, that was worse.

I hope everyone had a really happy... meaningful... pleasant one. Mine was good. My trip before was enjoyable, the Christmas eve service was cool. Today was quiet and pleasant.

And, yeah, I'm back. :)
