Today I got up and saw leaves falling past the bathroom window.
I'm not ready for it to be fall. -

He's gone.
It's hard to believe sometimes, and every time I sit down to write this I don't know what to say. It happened early wednesday afternoon, and is still a little hard to believe.
It was expected, even if the timing wasn't.
He was ready,
and I have no doubt that he is happy now.
But he's gone.
I miss him. -

Sorry to go so long without an update. My dad is back in the hospital. He had come home, and the next day or the day after, fell on the back step while leaving to go to the store, and for about a week after that, was really tired all the time and lost his appetite. The doctor says it's an imbalance between his diuretic medication and his salt ( Read more... ) -

Saw my dad saturday night, he seemed to be doing much better. -

My dad is in the rehab center now, we visited him yesterday. No surgery (so far, at least), he's supposed to be on an IV for a month. He told us he didn't at all mind that his room is tiny, which probably means he's not spending much time awake looking at it. -

Visited my dad yesterday/last night really (thought of posting last night, but was too tired). He was doing *much* better, sounded better, more lively, he was sitting up in a chair to talk to us, and had already had a long conversation with his nurse. From what he said, it sounded like they were leaning away from surgery, but we didn't get to ( Read more... )
