[Les is looking very business-like. He's wearing his best shirt and vest, impeccably clean and groomed. His hands are neatly folded together on his desk in front of him -- a gleaming gold wedding ring quite visible on one hand -- standing out more because the buttons on the shirt and vest are silver, and it clashes.]

Minor note: Whoever couldn't ( Read more... )

this is how les makes friends, got some angles to play, the man in charge, les is being diplomatic, scary when he's nice

That actually, sort of sounds like a good idea. I mean, I guess people already did it a bit, with their friends, but we've never tried to formalize it before.

It would be good to get us more organized as a group.

[Les starts to react -- not necessarily in a bad way but more like he's been faced with someone he is more than familiar with -- and he stops himself.]

Good to know I'm not just talking to hear myself talk.

[ALMOST NEIL PATRICK HARRIS SMILES BRIGHTLY.]

No, it was good! I mean, you can't really expect everyone to agree with you here, plenty of people will argue with a perfectly good idea just because they need something to do, but I'd definitely go for it! If it works then the rest of them'll take it up sooner or later!

Not a bad idea at all, this ... "buddy system."

Think someone needs to keep a list of who's looking after who?

Not something that should be risked unless there's guarantees it can be kept out of Warden hands.

Smart. Only problem I see is, if some fucker decides to pretend he's looking after someone he's got it in for.

Speaking of wardens and information. Think I've got an idea.

It wouldn't exactly be in their best interest.

And I'm not going to make anybody run with somebody they don't want to. It's not just about who each Inmate won't want to kill, but who won't want to kill them. This operation should exist completely outside of any normal arrangements any of you have here. Love and hate who you want, but do your part to keep yourself safe. You agree to join in then you're agreeing with everybody else who's joined that you do your part.

I'm all ears.

I'm interested in being involved in this.

I'm Ana Lewis, we've spoken before. Sadly my private messages are a bit non-existent at the moment due to an unfortunate punishment.

I'll met you at the library if you like. Or leave a reply in Wuthering Heights. It's a bit... complicated, but it's not forever.

Happy to have anyone on board that wants to be.

But it'll go further than this, eventually. With hope.

Stop by my office sometime.
