Esca/Marcus
Esca and Marcus are best friends who are also roommates that are totally dating. Even if Marcus hasn't realized this yet.
Bonus points for: -Esca being subtly (or not so subtly) possessive -adorable domesticity -awkward moments for Marcus when any woman he tries to chat up automatically assumes he's with Esca and then wants to compare boyfriends -Esca being a BAMF and/or secretly terrifying homophobes -Marcus being suddenly shy about PDA once they finally do get into a relationship
Today was supposed to be one of the last Sundays off for the rest of the season, and Marcus had been looking forward to doing nothing more strenuous than getting Esca acquainted with the house and introducing him the rest of his new housemates - whenever they managed to get back. He's just pointed out the trap-door to the attic and pulled it down with an ominous creak when his cell buzzes in his back pocket. "Hold on a sec," he says, once he sees it's coach

LOL. I had enough words left in the comment for another paragraph, but then I was like, NO! BE MOAR EVIL! (this has already drifted so off path from the original prompt, but at this point, I'll be happy if I can just get them to the sex in another 20 updates or so.

dying, seriously. I'M DYING OVER HERE. this is spectacular. I'm loving how you write both marcus and esca. I'LL JUST BE HANGING OUT HERE REFRESHING, HOPE THAT'S OKAY.
Also, I find it inexpressibly hilarious that he's biting a pillow during the massage. (The housemates start thinking they're doing it right around now, right?)
It works. The whole rooming with Esca thing just *works* better than Marcus could have imagined. Number one reason Esca's great to live with? No snoring (which is a big plus after his predecessor), and while the house is cleaner than Marcus has ever seen it, Esca isn't uptight about every day clutter. Except for ballet class and weekends, their schedules don't overlap much, especially with football eating up so much of Marcus's time. Marcus is an early to bed, early to rise type and by the time he crashes, Esca's usually not back from the library - or he's sitting crosslegged on his bed, surrounded by fat, old books, nodding his head to whatever's on his headphones
