Esca and Marcus are best friends who are also roommates that are totally dating. Even if Marcus hasn't realized this yet.

Bonus points for:
-Esca being subtly (or not so subtly) possessive
-adorable domesticity
-awkward moments for Marcus when any woman he tries to chat up automatically assumes he's with Esca and then wants to compare boyfriends
-Esca being a BAMF and/or secretly terrifying homophobes
-Marcus being suddenly shy about PDA once they finally do get into a relationship

The smartest thing, Marcus decides, the *safest* thing, at least for his own peace of mind, is to not look Esca up, and so he doesn't. Marcus has done some stupid shit in his day, and he wouldn't like having his friends see videos of him at his lowest points. Particularly since some of his lowest points have involved anonymous men and sex that was rougher than he was really ready for. And curling up under his covers and crying because of how hurt and stupid and used he felt. No, he's glad no one got that on tape, and he doesn't see why Esca should be humiliated just because his ... whatever it was he did got caught on tape ( ... )
