hey Katei, I understand why you want to quite marching band, but its not just your problem. If you quite you will have betraid everyone who has worked so hard already this year. I worked my ass off to become drum major, and I know, with the exception of probably 5-6 people, everyone is so excited for this show. And it may be what is best for you, but think about how many people you'll be letting down by giving up half way through. You made a comitment, and I have just as many commitments as your do, it's only a matter of scheduling your time and doing things that are trully important. The only reason I am on live journal right now is because i assumed you would have written something and i really dont want to lose you. Please dont take this offensively, I love you to death girl, and i see your frustration with drama, but that wont go away by quiting, honestly it will only make it worst. I dont know, I have s ton of homework to do tonight aswell, so I have to go, but give me a call if you want to talk.

ill try not to sound like im attacking you...but here i go. i realize that ill be letting everyone down, but last year i was an emotional wreck! and it wasnt all because of Allen either! i know people have worked thier asses off to get better...but i know i wont be able to handle it again. yeah you have the same commitments as me...but band is pretty much your life! thats what you do and thats what people know you as...but for me i have more stuff i would like to do. and it wont happen this year...but im really excited to do polo again! i dont want to be known as a "band geek"...cause im not! i mean most people think of a band geek as someone who lives to play music...and as much as i enjoy playing both flute and mallets...i dont live to play them. i have to be active...its something i get from my dad. i dont know...i just have to be doing something physical...and marching band isnt that! and i loved doing it last year...but then again i think i did it mainly because of Allen...and i thought i would have fun with it this year and i

Well I dont get why you are having to stay up till 12 everynight doing homework. I pretty much have the smae homework as you, and if you just do it around 5:30 when you get home, you can usually have it done before dinner or w/e. And I know about the needing to be active, thats why I jog everynight, my life doesnt evalve around music either, I do enjoy it a lot, but I have several things that are much more important to me right now. And if you do water polo, there will be drama there aswell, its part of high school. the drama with Beau wont go away because you stop marching, and you will still have to deal with Kristina during Jazz band and Wind ensamble. You cant just try and run from the drama, trust me it doesnt work, if anything you should try to talk to all the people your haveing problems with until your to an understanding and all the gossip is understood, thats the only way drama will really go away. Well I need to go to sleep, so I'll se you tomorrow.

i do start when i get home...and then i eat dinner and go back to it! and sometimes im up to 10 doing it...and sometimes it gets closer to 12. well for just enjoying band a lot it sure seems like it runs your life...and i have someone who agrees with me on that. there might be drama with polo too...but its definately not as bad as band...cause freshman year there was no drama in polo...then i got into marching band and it just took me to the ground. i love polo and everyone who does it...i cant say that about marching band, i mean yeah there are people i love...but then theres those people that get to me way to easily. there is no drama with Beau...were ok. he talked to me and it seems like everythings ok! i told him that what Kristina said wasnt true and that she should have said it. and he agreed and seemed fine. i dont care about Kristinas shit...ive dealt with it before many times and so i can deal with it again...and after awhile shell drop it and give up becuase shell realize that i just dont give a damn. and i can try to run

katie, c'mon, you are all over brandon. besides, i dont remember saying anything, but maybe i did. either way he was going to find out, did you think he wouldnt?

Carter also said that Froshy can quit, he doesnt need people who are going to flake out on us. he said if she wants to quit, she can.

You know what, you should learn that people depend on you. you screwed over the entire marching band. you say that you dont have time. I am doing more than you are, and I'm still in band. And even if I quit, then I would have finished the marching season, even if I quit the other bands.

You hate band drama, yet youve started some. we have something to be truly worried about. we have a huge hole in the pit. that screws everyone over. that is why almost everyone is mad at you. if you 'dont have the time' you should have quit jazz band. carter doesnt need you in there!

You should tink a little more often.

you know Kelly told me that she wished that this wasnt happening between us...she wants me to work things out with you cause she doesnt want to see our friendship get ruined. im willing to talk about how this whole thing started when you are...but i thought id give you about a week to cool off before i tried talking to you about it.

hey Frosh, your not really in the middle of this, so dont worry as far as i know i dont think anyone is upset with you. And the reason Mr.Carter said that was because he doesnt want people that will bring the spirit of the marching band down, everyone in marching band this year, with the exception of a few, i know, have really good spirits. And we all do love you Ashley!!!!! really we do! And I hope you dont quit as well cause i'm gunna be sad without 2 of my best friends. And the only reason any of this bothered me, was the fact that the year I become drum Major, all my friends decide to quite, and i guess I was just taking it personal till Ryan talked me out of my ... i dont know, pissed off mood i guess. So anyways, if you feel like you need to quite, w/e i guess we can do the show still atleast, just know that you are making it really REALLY hard on Kristina, and Kelly, They will be pretty much playing 4 parts with only 2 people. Well thats all.
