Well Katie, the part of me working my ass off to get where i am today, is mainly because it was like everyone was so excited to do this music.... then all of a sudden one of my very best friends is talking about quitting. Then Froshy, then Steph.. and i guess it just kinda made it seem like you guys didnt want me to be the drum major.. like you guys wereso excited until I became a learder. I dunno.... I'm not mad, I wish you were still in it cause this year is going to be such a blast, but it's your choice. Honestly yes I was very pissed on thursday when you were talking about it, but then i talked.. well cried... to ryan for about 2 hours and just vented about everything that was going on in my life aswell.. and i just realized, i cant stop you. You've made up your mind, and i hope you dont regret it because possibly nowe if you do need someone to talk to or to help you with something, you may have burned a few bridges... but I'm here for you, I never turn my back on a firned, no matter what they do.

hey I don't know if my opinion really counts, seeinig as I'm not in the band anymore, but here it is, for what it's worth...
One thing about high school, is everyone's selfish, but really, if you don't look out for yourself how are you going to make it through? I know it's hard on the band without you, and some people are really disappointed, but sometimes you just have to do what's best for you, especially when your emotional stability is at stake. It's a shame that you had to quit, but It's probably a good thing in the end...

p.s. I know how hard it can be to step outside of yourself and see that people need to take care of themselves, especially in a group that does so much to take care of eachother. I think everyone needs to keep in mind that this is high school marching band, and there are much bigger things to get mad at people for.
