Last night I went to a debate of the city council candidates for students. Love the costume! I too was a woman (Yoko), but only wish I had that sexy beard like you have.

"Brain drain" is when scientists, researchers, scholars, etc. leave their home countries for ones with more of those people, such as the US. I guess that might have to do with your school, only you'd be on the receiving end of the brain drain, so I don't know why you'd need to discuss it.

Yeah, see, that issue wasn't discussed at all and anyway I don't think the city council would have much control over that sort of thing.

Actually, it was discussed.

Everyone leaves Iowa to find jobs. We have a highly-educated workforce, but no jobs for them. That's why they talked about bringing in big, high-tech business.
