i ran into amy doshi yesterday and it made me feel like the biggest loser ever. there she was with her full time job, part time law school, high heeled boots and perfectly applied make up and me with my unpaid internship, unbrushed hair that i dyed in my bathroom the night before, on the way to radio shack with my mother. christ. in the immortal ( Read more... )

Full time job AND law school? That even makes me feel a bit loserish. Not a good comparison :P. I'm in the weird situation of still being in post-college slump while in grad school. It's a strange, paradoxical thing. I have a feeling things will get better for ya. All it takes is one change or surprise and your life might suddenly become 'unclogged'.

I don;t know who Amy is, but don't despair. I spend two hours a day watching Star Trek, and then two more hours at night watching FOX. I really have nothing better to do. And I'm constantly inviting myself to bars and places with people who may or may not actually want to go with me. Because I know my only other option is FOX. And that depresses me. But, like tulipchica, I know things will get better for both you and me. Just hopefully sooner rather than later. And, I applaud the fact that you found an internship on your own. I never do things like that. Sorry this got so long!

well good for you for going out- even if you feel like you're inviting yourself. i really need to follow your lead, bite the bullet and ask some of my coworkers to do stuff outside of work.
and i'm glad that you feel my pain. lately i've been wasting away in front of reruns of days of our lives on the soap network. blech.
here's to a change for the both of us!

she did have a kind of metallic glow. i thought it was body shimmer at the time, but now that you mention it...

shhh, i met a guy from friendster once too. he tried to get me to let him sleep with me and when i made him stay in the J3 lounge, he left. and i felt the same way as you describe here afterwards.
