My coworker is a chauvanist and a homophobe. I refuse to let comments of either nature slide. So yesterday when he said men should be the head of a household, period, I said no, that is a decision each couple has to make for themselves. When he said it's because it's in the bible, I refrained from saying either "that book that tells you to stone

How are you calm with statements like that? If everything was reversed and I was in that situation I'd yell at the person. Or at least be outright upset with a coworker.
