I don't understand this fad of white gold ones right now. I think white gold washes out the diamond(s). This one was my second choice, but still quite lovely. That's a little sapphire you see, which happens to be D's birthstone. Possibly next spring. We want to save some money for the wedding, so a later date is better. I'll do my best to prevent our having the same anniversary ;)

*points to the "Birks" on the side of the blue box* Even Birks is rampant with white gold, alas. This is the earlier incarnation of the Birks Blue engagement ring; the new generation has a sapphire on both sides and comes only in -you guessed it!- white gold. The ring is in for re-sizing at the moment; I should be picking it up Friday.
