chère portia. tu rockes. j'espère que ça va bien en france. si tu as un problème ou un question avec la langue, tu peux m'envoyer un mél n'importe quand. peut-être ce n'est pas une offre serviable mais si je peux t'aider, dis-moi. et rigole!
(dear portia. you rock. i hope things are going well in france. if you have a problem or a question with the language, you can send me an email whenever. perhaps this isn't a helpful offer but if i can help you, tell me. and have fun!)
(p.s. "rocker" is not an actual french verb. don't use it unless you're starting a trend or something.)
you know, i think i might just try and start a trend with that... tu rockes... cette chanteur rockes... or peut-etre i will simply try to turn the french word for "rock" (roche) into a cool word.
thankyou for the offer elizabeth! i think i'll need all the help i can get. (merci beaucoup pour ton offrir, elizabeth! je crois j'ai besoin de tout l'aide qui je peut as) i just wrote a whole lot of crap, didn't i? thus proving my point.
Perhaps you can help me now... how do i put things in the future tense, par example: i will go to the shops, (je suis aller aux cours?), i will buy a hat, i will tell him that, etc? parce-que je ne sais pas de tout.
I'm sorry I've taken so long to reply, but my internet's been broken ( a constant source of irritation). This information's really helpful, if a little bit confusing (the "I will do something" stuff, anyway!) so thankyou for taking the time to write it all up for me.
