After Pam's talk with Jim, she decided she needed a walk to clear her head a bit. She didn't even take her sketchbook out with her again, just turned around and walked out of the cluster of huts.
She made a conscious decision to go as far away from Jim as possible for the time being. Not that she felt anything other than love for him, she just needed to sort some things out. The beach was her destination.
She ended up standing at the water's edge, close enough for the waves to lap at her feet that were being covered with wet sand every time the water slipped up the beach.
While she stared out at the horizon, she thought about all the things she'd done before arriving here and how little they suddenly meant to her. Because they were all things someone else had thought she should do. Because they'd make a good television episode. Because it'd make people want to watch her. Them.
[Summary: Directly after being canon-punctured by Jim, Pam heads to the beach, intent on being along with her thoughts. Shortly after getting there, she's joined by
Ghost, who she proceeds to cry on.
Susan soon follows, looking for the wolf. They talk a bit about being 'fake' and Susan sympathizes. Pam also tells her about how Jim came home one day high on marijuana.
Carter is out in the ocean swimming and they briefly talk about Pam's garden.
Veronica comes over and Pam informs her that Jim told her about the TV Guide. Pam also finds out that Jim waited a month to actually tell her, instead of telling her right away like he said he did. They talk about the 'writers' of their respective shows and missing the people they used to know.]
