Starting in mid-January, it looks like I'm going to have a radio show.  Either 2 or 3 hours once a week, late night.  I'll be playing symphonic metal for the most part, with some power metal thrown in.  I'll probably also devote an hour of the show to playing some stoner rock as well, since metal and stoner rock actually have quite a bit in common

It's actually KUOI at the University of Idaho. 89.3FM. Website is http://www.kuoi.org and they have streaming capability.

But yeah... giving me airtime is kind of like giving a kid keys to the candy store, to use a recent analogy.

How about Metal Licker? A lawsuit from Lars and Hetfield would give you some street cred.

Seriously, though--almost anything with metal in it is going to sound gay. Almost anything. You have to temper the gayness with a pot reference. You've gotta appeal to your target audience, right? Also, try to make light of the fact that most people don't listen to metal anymore and the radio station is just giving you a show for the sake of diversity (Ha ha! You've benefited from an affirmative action!). So dig this: "The Tokin' Metal Show!" It's got pot, a pun, AND metal. You can't go wrong.

Heh, well I decided to go straight metal instead of having half stoner rock. Maybe I could sub a few shows with that.

A lawsuit would be cool though.
