I found this one inexplicably cute. Despite the panic attacks and such. Seriously, them both finally understanding each other on something that's been eating at Russia in particular for so long...

...and it was just cute. :D

No, I definitely think this is cute! I mean, gosh...yeah, America freaks out, but they're open and supportive about it, and Russia is all maxi-soothing, and America wants to grow up to be a bird, and ♥.

Yay! New chapter!
I swear you guys are saving my sanity during finals....

I like it. It's nice to see a little reversal going on here for once. I mean, it seems like their dynamic was more Russia being the calm, competent, sane one and America losing it and getting all jealous and letting his crazy show. It echoed the previous chapter with Russia's reaction to America getting the bomb beautifully and it was so sad. On the other hand, I really like how this played out much better, since the boys got to have a bonding 'moment' over the whole thing. I feel like they really understand each other on a different level now. And I really hope Russia keeps that promise (even if tensions have escalated by that point)-I wanna see them bond over space more ♥

Yeah, it's been kind of a long stretch where Russia was the one who needed cuddles, but we try to keep in mind for everybody that that's more a product of circumstances than a fixed relationship dynamic. Now that Russia's in a much better situation and America is the one freaking out, Russia gets to put on the Good Boyfriend hat. ♥

We'll be back to the Space Race once we get up to Yuri Gagarin!

Russia has been opening so many doors, first the scarf, now this, telling America what he felt, how jealous he felt when he got the bomb, shows just how much he trusts him.

They really have cleared so many hurdles, haven't they? I mean, I know they seem like such a 'one step forward, two steps back' kind of pairing on the surface of it, but if you compare their relationship here to what it was like back in WW1 and when they first hooked up in the 20s, they have so much more of a mature understanding of one another now.
