That last line can mean so many different things. Not only in the context of this R/A story but pretty much everything, as was the case when those words were spoken!
Omg, I'm not gonna lie. I sorta maybe cried a little. It was sooooooo adorable. The whole thing. OH and the talk with Russia. <3 <3 <3 :D
Also! I noticed someone asked for some space collaboration, aka Apollo-Soyuz Test Project LUVVIN', between those two. I totally second that! But I also read your response and I seriously hope you do write something of the sort. haha. :D

We will see! Pyrrhic and I both really want to write it, but we need to make sure that we have time and space. WE WILL KEEP YOU POSTED. XD

This was just amazing, I'm trying for coherency here but I think you dazzled it all out of me. The way America keeps reaching for the sky is just perfect (and my new headcanon). I love the Wright brothers part, and the He went up until he found it and the phone call and and and "Let's go together someday, okay?"
And One Small Step I hope this means what I think it does XD

It's his missing piece! There's a reason he always wears that flight jacket. *smile*

I can't imagine what you're talking about~

Oh, God, this is totally part of my headcanon, too. I mean, Manifest Destiny was pretty arrogant balls of you, America, but it makes sense, for the character I mean, that just...keep going west, it would be this emotional imperative for him. Explore new things! See what's there! And then when there was no more west to find, it was like "... ._."
In that way he's kind of like the fish that risks sinking if it ever stops moving.
You know, that's a totally groovy way of putting it, I really like that!
Probably unintentional, but the line "you seem to keep giving me more [wishes] in the hopes that I will get it right” tugged at me almost as much as the moon landing.
Oh, gosh, it was pretty intentional. XD I FUCKING LOVE America and France's relationship at this point in history, there is always a corner of my heart that is shipping it. ♥
That's really just a long and winding way of saying great chapter, thanks so much! Not at all, thank you for ( ... )

You know, that is probably the reason I love your writings to much. Apart form you being awesome writers in general (and writing my favorite ships XD), I have yet to find someone else who writes America so... so him. I mean... That feeling I have while reading this - "yes, this is America, this is how he is". I think that's pretty amazing.
And also, that he thanked Russia, that Russia called, that they could rise above the Cold War and ridiculous competitions, I think that matters for them a lot. A small step, indeed :>
