Also, this line: when America's bones turned molten gold = so much love. Best end to a climax ever.
Soviet domination indeed. I demand revenge! My American spirit requires it! Let's see him play baseball. Mwaha.

I don't know how well he'd do, but the mental image of Russia in a baseball uniform is kind of the cutest thing ever. ♥

Sorry, but I burst out laughing at the image of Russia sitting in the stands, cursing under his breath, while the people next to him stare like "the fuck is wrong with this guy?" XD Chess is serious business!

Chess is way sexy, dude. And now I'll never look at the black king the same way again. XD
Chess is serious business!
IT IS. AND AMERICA DOESN'T EVEN PLAY CHESS, AND HIS PLAYER IS CRAZY AND MOODY AND THROWS THINGS AND HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO CALL HIMSELF A CHAMPION, AND AND AND. D=
Russia is upset.

I actually did learn something though! I'd love to learn to play chess some day but I don't know anyone who knows to teach me. orz
I personally would love to see them play checkers, despite the simplicity of it, America would probably win and Russia would never forgive himself.
But Russia could totally dominate America in Tetris.

I like the mental image of me playing chess, being all cultured and cerebral and whatnot, but I seriously have such a hard time learning it. I get distracted, or bored, or I just lose miserably. Chess: way harder than it looks.
But Russia could totally dominate America in Tetris.
Could, does and has. *grin*

We were planning out this chapter, and Aria is all, "I have never heard the words 'I will bury you' come out of Russia's mouth in any fic ever, and it kind of makes me sad." AND SO WE MADE IT HAPPEN. XD
