Oh god. ♥
I am for once glad I didn't read it when it was released - this is yet another chapter that has made coming home from school and work so much better.
BREATHPLAY. ♥ ♥ godilovedestructivekinkswiththispairsohard.
I will never, ever think of chess the same way again. It's a hard game but ohoho now it's literal. (You two haven't ruined guns for me yet... but if you do anymore gun kink, that might change.)

Also, damn that sex scene was hot. I totally approve of Russia's teaching methods. And yes, no commie propaganda in the bedroom, best line ever, forever. You guys are going to have to try really hard to top that one.
All in all, a spectacular way to wake up this morning (only had time to comment just now ^^;;;)

This is pretty much how we feel on both counts, yeah. *grin*

And America is just SO INCREDULOUS. "We're really doing this? You're serious?" Next time Russia is going make him memorize openers before he lets him get off, you just know it.

I love you. I love you both forever. Not ony do I come back to multiple updates but one of them involves favorite game ever. *sqeee~*
It's actually my headcanon that America is actually pretty good at chess, a fact that catchs many nations who play him off guard. I've always had the image of him in Washignton D.C going to Dupont Circle after work to play. But he has never beaten Russia--his childish desire to do so has in fact driven him to get better.
So yeah. Um. This chapter was hot. Very very hot. You guys kinda short-curcuited my brain so that's all. ^^;;

That's interesting, is there any reason why?

and amused as America was.
This was really nostalgic for me, considering Bobby was my hero in elementary school. I adore his characterization here. I think Alfred must be channeling his spirit into him or something.
Alfred's chess!fail is amazing. I love the idea of Russia going psycho over chess. It's so fitting, considering what I've read about how the kids were taught chess in Russia.
There needs to be more chess!pronz in the world.
Strip chess, anyone?

America would have had to have behaved a LOT worse to be channeling the spirit of Bobby Fischer. x_x I-I hope he was only your idol because he was great at chess, and not because he was awful and crazy?

Chess was very serious business in Soviet Russia. We weren't making up that business with how chess was seen as the embodiment of the Marxist-Leninist system in the Soviet Union and Russia in particular. =D

No, I meant the other way around XD Alfred's spirit==>Fischer.
Yeah, those beginner's chess books don't really mention the negative side of the grandmasters. All I knew at that time was the he was a prodigy who pwned everyone. Though I did wonder why an American lived and died in this strange mystical place called Iceland.
Yeah, I read about one girl who had her dad drill the name and color of every chess square before she was eight. Or five. Or something. I dunno. When I think of Russian kids learning chess, I picture a monastery of Buddhist monks. Only with more hair.

It's been quite some time since I've read a chapter of TCE that's busted my gut as much as the first half of this.
And I got that accounting test back. Not good results. So this made me smile at least a little bit as I watched my GPA commit suicide

And gosh, I'm sorry to hear that. Best of luck with your other coursework before the end of the semester!
