Hey all- it's just been quiet here for a long time and that makes me sad. I'm sure we've all moved on to other fandoms, however dearly we still hold our bloodsucking darlings, but I still think fondly of those heady days when this place was jumping

Frankly I'm not particularly looking forward to the latest volume of the Lestat chronicles unless there's some positive word-of-mouth from the VC fandom on LJ and Dreamwidth.

I am trying to plan a heist to steal all copies and burn them from the world, but I'm not likely to have any luck.

I WISH I was excited, but I remember Blood Canticle too clearly to expect anything but awfulness. :(

*n00b here* I am cautiously optimistic. I've been excessively vocal elsewhere on NO WURWULF XOVER, that would be my biggest fear...

Maybe she'll impress us all, she did says she reread at least QotD, and that PL will be in a similar style.

Here I am responding more than a year later, but it was really surprisingly not terrible, it had good points. It was nice to dip into that world again. Were there cringeworthy bits? Absolutely. But it was so so so so so much better than Blood Canticle.
