That sounds like a very insightful practice. Good luck with that. With our group of women, remember, if you take time to take a breath and contemplate your statement, we may have moved two topics away by then =)

Yes, it's true that one does not generally have time to breathe in our conversations :). I tend to have this problem in work situations, not with the gang.

breathing is something we do a ba-zillion times a day and don't think about it--funny isn't it? When we start to think about it--it changes our mind...

I empathize with you in this struggle, and I am working on this myself... all the time. I do wish you the best of luck, although personally I have never witnessed you making a hasty response.

Thanks rik. I don't do it much in our conversations. It's more when I am excited to explain something at work, or when I have a strong opinion about things.

I had mixed success this past week. It is always hard to change habits I've had for years. I am going to focus on this for 3 weeks or so.
