Where is this new student orientation? Are you getting a Masters in finger painting? If not, we should do it together!
I just got my first 'real' job... and I feel lost a lot. That, and I'm 24 and living with my mother again, because I can't afford to live on my own with all of my school-related debt. yay me. Ha!
Hi!!!!!!!! its been forever Its at a college in Boston for architecture, etc. I'm transferring from Parsons in NYC. I'll be a junior so it's not that bad but the moment my friends graduated they began their mightier than thou scoff. I just didn't want to plunge into a major I'd end up doing nothing with, sitting at a desk being miserable so I took my time but I don't need to defend myself to you, youre not scoffing and I appreciate that! whats your real job job? I'm sure it'll work itself out, big changes always feel weird and monumental. life is good : ) missed ya!
well, I can highly recommend architecture (as I have a Master's in it now!) ... it's a really tough major -- very demanding of time and emotional energy, and creativity. However, I'm realllly enjoying my time in the real world. If you work for the right firm, you aren't behind a desk ALL day every day, and I'm even liking some of the stuff that I DO do behind a desk! I love visiting the site, and being able to help shape our built environment to be more sustainable and aesthetic!!
I'm proud of you for trying something new -- your friends are just scoffing because they're ticked that you are following a passion ;) I think it's fabulous!
Missed you too, looking forward to hearing how everything is progressing!
