i dont have much time to discuss this, however, i'd like to voice my disgustment with this community. after dandywilber gave up ownership of the_hot_nerds, it had turned 100% on its head. What is going on with the random "lets see how you look" and then having it turn into "look at me im wearing a bathing suit" pictures

I agree that it would be stupid if all we posted was pictures. Over the last week or so that's what we've done, but in general I'd say we still post nerdy articles, or nerdy events from our lives. So I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think this community has ever valued hotness over nerdiness. Just look at who we accept -- not very many of us would make it into one of the rating communities based 100% on beauty. It's just that up until this point, we have focused on nerdiness all of the way, despite our name and the picture requirement in the application. So in the past week or so we've just tried to mention our other side. Nerdiness is still of utmost importance, though

I can see how you might not be interested, but you feel dirty? Do you think that we are degrading ourselves by showing that we are not ashamed of who we are? Isn't that the whole point of a community like this?
