The plan right now is for me to work on atom trapping/cooling and quantum optics.

Oh yes indeed. I selected Duke specifically because I want to work in that laboratory. I have talked to the professor, and he indicated that he would be interested to have me. Now I just have to hope that everything goes according to plan. Duke has a lot of other interesting opportunities, but I really have my heart set on that.
