Hey everyone, since the voting is underway, We thought now would be a good time to start letting you know about a few changes we are making to the community. We figured we would get this information to you now, so that if there are any questions or concerns they could be addressed before the next round.

I think these changes are a great idea.

The idea of self nomination is a good one - since so much of RP is based on connections, players who are less vocal in the OOC side of RP might be overlooked when noms come around. It also eliminates the withdrawal problems you mentioned, and ensures that people who are involved truly want to be. Combined with the anonimity thing, it means that everyone eligible gets a fair look, and votes won't be based on community.

I also love the idea of having mods select a chunk of the post for the voting sample - I read all the samples while voting for this round, but it was extremely time consuming, and I think by shortening the samples you're encouraging people to vote genuinely, instead of just for someone that they know.

You're doing a wonderful job, keep up the good work :)
