Oh my gosh! I real bat? I would just totally flip out if I saw one. I'm not as brave as you. I probably would have squealed in an extremely high voice, but when I retold the story to my friends I would have said something along the lines of 'Yeah, so I started petting the bat and let him sit on my shoulder while I finished my shower.' Hee hee.
That's pretty cool. I've seen a few bats outta the zoo..one drying itself on a tree in the woods after a heavy rain and several fluttering around in the local movie theatre/old opera house. IN the zoo, I got crapped on by a bat, so I'm torn on how much I like or hate the litte things.
Neat. Good thing the cat(s) didn't see it first. Bats are just too much like flying mice to a cat.
Anyway, nice as they are, you guys might want to think about getting rid of them. Bat guano is not something you want filling up the walls or whatever.
Fortunately for the bat (and the cat), the cat isn't allowed in the basement.
I've already checked on what we need to do to remove the bats, without hurting them. Cute as they are, they're going to need to find a new nesting place.
