youve gotta have a better offer from another school. luckily, you can negotiate with private schools. get on the phone with the financial aid office and say something like "i really want to go to your school--its my top choice--but i'm getting ______ from another school." and then haggle like you've never haggled before. but dont expect them to give you full tuition or anything.
