Right now I'm ready for life issues to sort themselves out. I've been trying for 22 years, and they're obviously a bit too stubborn for my methods.

Ah darlin', life issues will never sort themselves out - there'll always be something to deal with, and 22 years isn't really such a long time. I know people far older and far less figured out than either of us.
