Reno's hand had been in the process of snaking under his pillow to reach for his EMR when the ruckus from the ferret alerted him to the fact that there was someone intruding in his personal space.
After a year back in Edge, after growing up in Midgar's slums, Reno didn't generally take too well to break-ins. But Rikku's voice meant that he was slipping his arm back out from under his pillow empty-handed, and now? Now he was going to pretend to sleep.
That was the great thing about being a Turk. You could sleep through almost anything if you wanted to. Because, really, you never let yourself sleep all that soundly in the first place.
[Wooow, I need to find icons of Reno sleeping that aren't made from fanart of Reno/Rude slash, or at least pictures of him laying down that aren't Reno-in-agony shots.]
Rikku was tip-toeing. And being sneaky! Her Reno-person was asleep and adoooooorable when he slept.
She set down her overnight bag and moved closer to the bed. Her shirt was missing its blue streamers today. Because she had tugged them off for other purposes.
Moving very, very slowly now. And trying to see if she could slip one of those around his wrist. Caaaaaaaaareful .........
(I had that problem! So I bribed this cool artist-person to draw me a picture of Rikku asleep! You should try it, it worked wonders for me ;) )
Aww, it was kind of adorable how hard she was trying, here. Reno did his damnedest not to twitch a smile as he felt the fabric against his skin.
He was keeping her forever, okay? Because making a trip to Fandom just to tie him up in his sleep officially made her the most awesome girlfriend in the multiverse.
Ugh, she was so loud. Maybe he was hung over? Maybe he was really tired.
She tugged the blue fabric around and under his wrist ... perfect! And then tied a very careful sort of please-don't-wake-up-yet knot. Was the streamer long enough to reach his other wrist? It looked like it miiiiiiight be ...
