No, seriously, it's supposed to be from a woman who was buried in that barrow. There is a mention in the appendix that there is some clue as to who was buried there (based on Merry channeling the guy), but generically, a Dunedan of Arnor, from after the splintering of that kingdom into 3 smaller ones. But we don't know her name; she was forgotten by history, and only Tom and Goldberry remember her now.
