My back still hurts where they cut into it.

But I'm walking better!

They made me stay overnight, probably because the doctor's tools barely reached into me far enough (or so he said).

The Morphine pain pump was fun, though.

Got a call this morning. Due to issues with the facility, my surgery has been rescheduled (AGAIN) for next week at 8AMish.

This is getting annoying.....but it'll be worth it after it's done.

I hope.

Due to annoying issues with the fact that I've had to switch over to COBRA for health insurance due to graduating, the surgery is being postponed for a week due to the need for insurance stuff to go through and not actually having the insurance identification numbers for COBRA yet due to various issues.

So surgery next week. Same day, though.

So yeah, back surgery. Which shouldn't be too much of a surprise for people who've been following the tale of my fucked-up back for the last year ( Read more... )

Whidbey Island really is a beautiful place. I spent my time on the Chinook lands, but we also visited Deception Pass and Ebey's Landing. I watched the tide come in for a while at the latter, and let the waves come up and wash over my feet ( Read more... )

I'll be Spring Breakin' it up on a retreat to Whidbey Institute on Whidbey Island in Washington state this coming Saturday through sometime Thursday.
Incidentally, this means I'll be more or less out of touch Saturday through Thursday.
