After playing auditions for Fiddler today, I managed to elbow my way into a lunch date and a viewing of a dance workshop with Bartlett Sher. Dreams do come true. Just didn't want to forget this day. -
End of November
So I just got into Cleveland this afternoon and I'm ready to leave. My aunt can be so exhausting and provincial.
It is really nice to have a vacation though. November has been an exceedingly busy month. Looking back in my calendar, I worked almost every day this month. Which was great, don't get me wrong! It's been especially great for my bank ( Read more... ) -

Okay, here's the thing. Did you see the recent Les Mis in concert thing? With Nick Jonas?
I mean THAT was unbearably ponderous, and that was just the music.
I feel like the movie can only be worse and more self-aggrandizing.
I guess at the end of the day, part of the undeniable appeal of Les Mis to me is the camp aspect of 80's poperetta.

This whole week has been a total wash. Sandy came and went, and really the only way you could even tell anything had happened up in here in Harlem has been the abundance of people off of work. It's kind of staggering to believe that just 110 blocks south of here, it's a federal disaster area with no power and flooding. That's SO FUCKING WEIRD.

Busy Saturday
Today was such a productive day.
I got up and cleaned up the kitchen while Lianna freaked the fuck out about us having ringworm.

So today I played auditions for Sesame Street. Apparently the co-arranger of "In The Heights" is now the music director for Sesame Street and the Electric Company. My insane busyness finally wrapped up a few weeks ago. Unfortunately things haven't been real good in picking back up again, and of course I'm super nervous about burning through all the money I saved up. Amy threw an Oscar/birthday party. It was awesome. We had to draw scenes from our favorite movies and she deemed mine the best. I drew Carrie.
Rugby continues to stress me the fuck out. We had our first game today. I did okay.
